Alpha CALCIT Füllstoff GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Cologne, is part of the owner-managed ALPHA CALCIT Group. Hermann Münchow founded the company in 1919 under the name “Teutonia” and initially ground natural Jurassic limestone for window putty. Today, we offer natural calcium carbonate, the flame retardants aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide, titanium dioxide as a white pigment in powder form and as a slurry, as well as pigment/filler blends. For calcium carbonate, we manage the entire process in-house, from quarrying the rock to the finished industrial mineral.
Technical consulting, from product selection to formulation
We’ll work with you to determine which grade works best in your formulation. Alpha CALCIT Füllstoff GmbH & Co. KG will advise you on testing the formulations, help you narrow down the suitable grades, and provide samples for your own trials. Testing is conducted in collaboration between our lab and yours. In addition to selecting suitable grades, we can offer tailor-made solutions—such as custom blends like TRIPAK® or a custom ALPHAWHITE® slurry.
